I was a cheerleader in the 7th and 8th grade for the basketball team. I remember it being a lot of fun. The only downside to it was a few of the other girls on the squad were from the "in" crowd, so you can imagine how that was. Feeling like you had to live up to something higher than you were. But in all it was a fun experience, and I credit my 2 years of cheerleading to the nice strong loud voice I have when I holler for one of my teenager daughters from another room!!

Ummmm NO!! no tthat I didnt want to but we were "po" Meaning so poor we couldnt even afford the "or" to complete the word "poor"! SO uniforms, and all that stuff was out of the question. Plus I had a job at age 15, so that kinds ruined it for me on the whole extra curricular activities!!

I was a gothic type person, interested in science fiction. The sports I played were chess, yes at my school chess was on the sport list.
Cheerleader, that mean I would have to ACT cute, and jump around and smile.
Gothic, chess playing, science fiction readers do not jump around and smile.
