Anna and Bee killer are right Glucose is a simple sugar C6H12O6, and a starch is just a combination linking glucose molecules together in a giant matrix of molecules. Like a white potato, is a starch and it is mainly glucose (which is why they say white potatoes are worse for you than eating sucrose, table sugar, because the glucose immediately enters your bloodstream since it is so easy to break down
