For the systems of linear equations in questions 1-3
-Determine how many solutions exist
-Use either elimination or substitution to find the solutions (if any)
-Labeling the x-intercepts, y-intercepts, and points of intersection

1. y = 2x + 3 and y = -x - 4

2. 2x + 3y = 8 and 3x + 2y = 7

3. x + y = 3 and y = x + 3

4. A university bookstore recently sold a wirebound graph-paper notebook for $2.50, and a college-ruled notebook for $2.30. At the start of spring semester, a combination of 50 of these notebooks were sold for a total of $118.60. How many of each type were sold?

5. A shopper buys three oranges and five lemons for $10.26, while a second shopper buys four lemons and six oranges for $11.16. What is the price of each fruit?

6. In a triangle, the sum of the interior angles is 180 degrees. If angle A is three times as large as angle B, and angles B and C sum to 90 degrees, what is the measure of each angle?

3. x + y = 3
y = x + 3

this one is simpler cause you already have y value presented
like y = x + 3 so you use it in the first equation to find x

x + y = 3
x + x + 3 = 3
2x = 3-3
2x = 0
x = 0

find y using the second equation

y = x + 3
y = 0 + 3
y = 3

you can check

x + y = 3
0 + 3 = 3
3 = 3
and

y = x + 3
3 = 0 + 3
3 = 3

the procedure is always the same and if you got good results for x and y the check will be correct

hey here r the answers
for question 6:-
let the angles be a,b,c.
so as the sum of interior angles is 180 degrees therefore,
a+b+c=180 eq.1 ,also a=3b eq.2(as A is three times as large as angle B)
and b+c=90 eq.3
now substituting value of eq.3 in eq.1 we get

a+(b+c)=180 will become a+90=180 , so we get the value of A=90
now substitute the value of A in eq.2 u get 90=3b now b=90 divide by 3 so we have b=30
now substitute the values of A and B in eq.1 and you will get the value of angle C.
so your angles are A=90 degrees , B=30 , C=60 degrees

Now the answer to your question no.5

let the orange be P and lemons be Q ok.
now according to problem the shopper buys 3 oranges and 5 lemons so our equation becomes
3P+5Q=10.26 eq.1
and the second shopper buys 6 oranges and 4 lemons so our second equation becomes
6P+4Q=11.16 eq.2
now we have to make any of the one variable (i.e P or Q) same so that we can subtract them and we have to deal with only one variable therefore we'll multiply eq.1 with 4 and eq.2 with 5 and our eq. will become
30P+20Q=55.80 eq.4 and
12P+20Q=41.04 eq.3

now subtracting eq.4 from eq.3 the variable Q will cancel out and we'll get

8P=14.76 or P=$0.82
now substituting the value of P in eq.1 we'll get

0.82*3+5Q=10.26 we'll get
2.46+5Q=10.26 solving the equation we'll get Q=1.56
so oranges are of $ 0.82 and
lemons $1.56

now for your question no.4

let the graph paper be P and the notebook be Q
it says in the question that a combination of both books is equal to 50 so our first equation becomes
P+Q=50 eq.1

now it says that the notebooks were sold for 118.60 spo our eq becomes
2.5P+2.3Q=118.60 eq.2

now as done in question 5th we'll make any one variable same by multiplyin eq.1 with 2.3 we get

2.5P+2.3Q=118.60 eq.3
2.3P+2.3Q=115 eq.4
subtracting eq.4 from eq.3 we'll get
0.2P=3.6 or P=18
substituting value of P in eq,1 we'll get value of Q=32
so no of graph paper notebook=18
and no of college ruled notebook=32

If a canine has habitual ear infections, my first theory would be that she has an hypersensitive reaction of a few style, probable to corn or wheat yet communicate on your vet approximately it. My 2d theory would be that she has abnormally formed ear canals. canines with prick ears frequently are not getting recurrent ear infections, in the event that they get them in any respect. the only different theory is that consistent with probability she is bathed improperly? you could placed a cotton ball in each ear once you bather her to attempt to maintain sort getting water down in the ear canal. from time to time canines with extreme ear infections are placed on an NSAID (to minimize swelling in the ear canal) or a steroid for the comparable reason. Oral antibiotics are from time to time prescribed, confident, yet whilst your canine is showing hypersensitive reactions to topical antibiotics, your vet would problem approximately an oral one. then you definately would have a systemic reaction if she's allergic to it, which could be risky. ETA: on a similar time as I believe Nikko that a food substitute would be so as. despite if or no longer a food has 'meal' in it does not make any difference. Named meat food are no longer a situation until your canine is allergic to that meat. something in the food you employ now would desire to be bothering your canine, this is why i discussed hypersensitive reactions. ETA: Corn and wheat are commonplace allergens, this is why i discussed them. yet i assume those are not the subject if your canine isn't ingesting them. Any protein would be an allergen (existence-long hypersensitive reaction sufferer right here!). i'm hoping which you and your vet can discern this out! Sorry that's been this way of continual situation. have you ever spoke of as your breeder? consistent with probability this has took place in her line in the previous?
