The U.S. left not because of Nixon, but because the Democratic majority in congress cut off the funding.

The correct term for them would be liberals. A Congressional Medal of Honor winner who was wounded in Vietnam said that we won every major battle there & that, "We would have kicked their (the Commies) butts all the way back to Moscow if they had let us." We pulled out not because we were defeated militarily, but because Congress stopped funding the war & we were ordered to pull out. If we remained there, we would have set up a democratic government there & then we could have pulled out. As it was, thousands of South Vietnamese were sent to the Commies' "re-education" camps. There they were fed starvation diets, endured beatings & humiliation beyond belief. Those that escaped in boats were attacked by pirates in the South China Sea, where they were robbed, the women raped, & the men murdered. Moreover, today the U. S. Navy has lost major bases in Vietnam, as well as free rein in the South China Sea. The Red Chinese Navy now has free rein there. Today in Vietnam, Christians & I think Bhuddists are persecuted beyond belief: imprisonment, beatings, torture, the burning of their homes, the rape of their women, confiscation of their property, & discrimination in employment, etc. The Red Chinese do the same thing in Red China.
