Just like people from any other country - impossible to generalise. Maybe it would be more interesting to ask "what do you think of the English way of life" (if that really exists) or "the English culture" ?
What I love about the English way of life is that you can flaunt your difference and you will be respected, although on the whole people don't like to be seen as too far out on a limb. What you certainly have achieved in England (and you only see this when you live abroad) is equality in jobs, in government and so on. Only in England do you see so many representatives of minority populations in government or in the media. Congratulations, England.

I'm not English and at times, they frighten me with their mindless violence and aggression. I've never seen anything like it and I lived in South Africa for most of my life. The kids are rude, and self centred, mostly.
But ... I think the UK is the greatest country in the world. They've led the way in democracy, freedom of speech and their tolerance and patience amaze me. I love living here, most of the time. If only the winters weren't so loooonng!

The few I have met, I found had a dry sense of humor and you don't know if you are being insulted or it's a joke. Some gave the appearance that they were better than others too and too proud. The younger ones I have chatted with were very liberal and sexual talking. I assume that you were asking of the British.

I think there are fewer true ENGLISH people than there were a few years ago. With the new Multi cultural England we are rapidly losing our identity.

I'm from Wales but now live in the North West of England. The range of accents amaze me. You seem to drive 10mins from where you are to find another totally different accent.

The ones I've met are great so no complaints.

I think you can't stereotype no matter what the person. You could pick two english people and they could be completely different, different tolerances, attitudes etc...

It's very easy to make generalisations but not really very fair :)
