Let’s face it. Whether we like it or not our economy is critically dependant on petroleum products. As a result we have a vested interest in securing oil deposits in often hostile areas such as the Middle East. The fact is though as this product is limited in supply (even if we develop better extraction technology). Eventually as the supply drops the price will go up until we will switch to another source of energy. That will eventually happen if not 50 years from now it will be in 100.

My question is what will happen to places like the Middle East when we no longer have a vested interest. Will we still care when there is conflict or in all honestly will we do as much as we do when millions of people are killing themselves in sub Sahara Africa

I also agree with Volleyball...the entire world is dependent on one type of energy, and unless that same population is provided an equal level of energy in the form of nuclear power, solar, hydro, wind, whatever, there will be a world war like no other.

And this isn't just the Middle East we are talking about, this is a global issue.

Think about it, why are wars fought (besides stupidity). Land, Religion, Resources.

One of those three, or a combination of them.

You think civilization will survive the end of petrol?

What about all the 3rd world countries burning coal after oil is gone? The skies will turn black with soot.

Some people think the entire world will have alternative energy available. Is this being worked on? Besides in nooks and crannies?

Oil isn't going to last forever. Predictions lie in the 40-60 year mark, perhaps a 100 at the most. In any case, oil will be unaffordable to the masses after 50 years or so. Not much time left!

When oil is no longer a factor, then the Middle East will become nothing more than a huge sheet of glass. The only thing stopping that from happening right now is the oil, and us needing it so badly.

Once we either don't need their oil anymore or they are running out of oil, we will stop to give a s.h.i.t.
The only reason we care for that area is for what they have in their sands. After that they might as well drop of the map. Until new oil is found, then we will notice them again. Unless anyone believes we are really there to bring them liberty and the fruits of democracy. Right... we area country that should export democracy.

The Khazarian non-semitic fake Jews already have the monopoly on the new energy sources.

Zionists must die.

True torah Jews fight the Zionist scum.

Anti-semitic only has a meaning if used by the true semitic Sephardim Jew, conviently the friendly "settlers" ethnically cleansed the region of God's chosen people.

The AskeNAZI / Yiddisher/ Khazarian fake Jew must make "aliyah" to Khazaria in Eastern Europe.
