Any kind of item goes. And we're talking about give & take.

I know some people who will give hand-me-downs, but not accept them. They never actually say that they are too good for the items, but always seem to have some lame excuse when the truth would really suffice. What do you think about that one?

Some clothing I got from my brother did not look good on him so he gave them to me and they look smashing on me. So yes, I love it! Fantastic. I even go shopping at the Good Will or Arc stores. You know what they say, "one mans trash is another mans treasure"!

Not opposed at all. If it is in good condition--why not? I especially thing it is wise to get baby clothes as hand-me-downs. They are often still in very new condition and it makes sense to use those than pay the high prices you see in stores.

Hand me downs are the next best thing to sliced bread.

It's especially true with kids' clothes. Everyone knows they outgrow them before they really are 'worn out'. I love rummage sales, thrift stores and the lot.

Just make sure it's not worn out and torn up, and you'll find yourself a great deal, and save some cash.

Happy hunting!

I'm all for hand-me-downs of any sort (provided, of course, that they're still in usable condition). I never understood people who insist on everything being brand new. Some of my favorite possessions are hand-me-downs (antiques, home decor, clothing, etc).

for a mom like me. hand-me-downs are really great help. it will save u lots of money that u can buy for something else. in our family, we do it. not to mention that it also bonds the kids. like eg a shirt or a toy. plus kiddos will learn the value of giving. same goes to us adults.

No, it`s making good use of resources. As long as the item is in good condition, clean & fashionable, why worry?
