I have a lady friend that is addicted to crack. she says when she
smokes it with friends she goes and get in the closet afraid someone is going to rape her.when i asked her why she would
smoke something that makes you feel like that, she says it is an
addiction. she can cut hair and worked for a cabnet maker, real
smart. now she has no job. I fear the addiction will end her life.
she weighs about 80 lbs now. I begged her to go in treatment
no luck.

The solution to any addiction is mind over matter. The problem in your case is it doesn't sound like she WANTS to beat the addiction. If that desire isn't there, no treatment will be effective. I'd say the best thing for you to do personally is just love her, pray for her (if you are so inclined) and let her find her own way, hopefully for the best.

Only she can beat that addiction with intervention. She needs to be in treatment, but she is the one who will have to decide for herself to go. You could help her by being there for her, but you can't make the decision for her. Ask her if she is serious about getting help and if she says yes, then look into some Good places she can get treatment. If she says she can do it on her own, she is fooling herself and you, and she is not serious at this time.

Intervention,no judgement,detox rehab, they gotta drop all thier dope friends completly too isolate for a on an identical time as with purely those you like that are close and not on it therapy is a could even with the incontrovertible fact that that's hgarsh stuff

YES, only if they want to change, they have to start all over and quit hanging around other addicts.Sometimes it takes a real friend to step up and help.

i think that the only way that someone ... can beat it is .. if they truely want to .. and if they have a reason .. too. ... like my husband was addicted.. and was a drunk.. i got pregnant.. told him he wouldnt see his kid if he didnt stop.. sure enough he stopped.. u just have to give her a reason too or she never willl
