I work from home about 10-15 hours a week so I still have plenty of time for our daughter. I really enjoy it, and I like being able to take some of the pressure off my husband so he doesnt have to work long hours and sacrifice family time, while at the same time, I'm not sacrificing a lot of family time either. I also train and manage a small team across the US, so if you consider yourself to be trainable and are looking, I would be happy to have you on my sales team. Full training, awesome benefits.

Do some research. There are a lot of things one can do from home that would allow you to be with your little one and still bring in some money. My sister does administrative work from home. She gets overflow from local offices e-mailed to her, and she types up what they need and e-mails it back to them. Since she is trained as a paralegal, she can do a lot of legal secretary work, which helps out the offices a lot.

I work at a day service for people with developmental and physical disabilities. My boss is very easy going, and she allows me to bring my daughter to work whenever I need to. The "folks" that attend also love my daughter, and often ask where she is when she is home with my husband (his day off). I work only days, no weekends or holidays, and I get to spend time with my daughter.

Explore options. I read an article in Parent's Magazine about moms that created businesses for themselves so they could work out of their home and be there for their kids. They had a lot of really good ideas. But look at needs in your community, and what skills you have to offer. I bet you could come up with something that would work. But it is hard to get started, and the money doesn't always just roll in right away. . .

Work in a small daycare center. I worked in one when my oldest was an infant. I was the head of her room.
If your more looking for money to play with EBAY can be fun. I list stuff on there all the time. The income varies though.

Night shift at a hotel...they even have cribs there already! :-)

Delivering a newspaper, the baby can ride along with you and you get to influence his appreciation for music really early.
