i am opening a website like ebay.in. I want a server and 1000 Gb webspace. my question is can i use my computer harddisk as webspace and my computer as a server. If not kindly give me the complte detail of server. If i buy a server what what comes with server. etc. THANKS IN ADVANCE BYE.

Then you can go for it or else instaed of starting your own website of webserver you upload your documents and pages on free webserver for the first instance

Yes, you can set up your computer as a web server. To achieve the desired hard drive space, you'll simply need to buy the size of disk that you need. You'll also want tons of memory to handle the requests.

As far as serving up web pages go, the cheapest, and best, way to go is downloading Apache Server (apache.org). It's very easy to install and configure.

Finally, you're going to need a dedicated IP address for your server...that's generally pretty expensive to do by yourself. You might want to look into having your web site hosted by another company..they generally allow you good freedom to do what you need to do.

ya you can use as server your pc but you must be on ur pc and net connection 24 hour on
