You should examine yourself regularly.

Every morning when you wake up and every evening when you go to sleep, you can ask yourself questions like this: "What do I lack to be unperturbed? What am I?" Remind yourself that you are not your body, or property, or reputation. You are a rational person.

Reflect upon your actions of the day. "Where have I gone wrong in regard to peace of mind? What have I done unfriendly, or unsociable, or heartless? What should I do in the future to be a better person?" Knowing yourself and keeping yourself in check is key to a virtuous life.

Virtue. Are you sure of what it is? Can you define the virtue of any act? Let's start by clarifying what virtue is. Virtue is an action that is moral by definition, but not simply acting out morals. More to the point is is living morally. Morality is a single definition of what is right. There are only two components of right living. The first is Truth. The second is Love. Yes, these two components are used to describe the Judaic and Christian GOD, but that does not meant that Virtue does not stand on it's own merits. Why truth and love? Think...If a person is loving but not honest, they present only Fantasy. If a person is Honest but not loving, the present only tyranny. True Virtue will always serve both Truth and Love. Now when is courage truly virtuous? Use these guidelines to define a persons actions and you will see the virtue in all manner of things. Why is a virtuous life important? What you live is what you create for others and yourself. What you live is your counsel to the young and the world being born. What you live is your answer to the elderly on the question of their gifts to you. You are an inextricable part of this world. Your actions will affect the world whether you want them to or not. Nobody lives in a vacuum where their actions will not have any affect. (butterfly effect). What you contribute matters. What contribution should others make? Shouldn't we all be building a real and loving world? Living a Virtuous life is the only way to live that is not criminal in some terrible way.

if you followed dimples rules for a virtuous life you would have not the time to live it, having to read, assimilate and carry out the rules, i believe every person is virtuous, its only when we allow the negative to enter our life do we become less than honest. and honesty is the one word that captures the essence of vituous. ergo to lead a vituous life one must lead an honest life. Be true to yourself, especially your conscience &integrity, with the willing to give/contribute rather than to take/consume. Take action, be proud of what you've done to fellow people with less expectation of any gain/prestige/reward.

Just dissolve your selfishness and that's it. Can you understand the totality of your selfishness and immediately stop it. If you have done this that's already virtuosity.
