I have some and just love them, but am not sure if they are really "in" or not. What do you think? Do you have any?

Tockers, baby, I believe that flamingos are in. Not the dollar store flamingos, but nice ones for sure. There's definitely a "Kitch" trend and a "tropical" trend.

Power to the Flamingos!

As someone else stated, I think almost anything is in these days. I personally love off the wall yard art, in moderation. I have three pink flamingos that were made by a local artist in Niagara Falls and they are made out of PVC. My neighbors love them. Of course, they are different than the normal plastic ones you get at Wallie World. If you like them, then go for it. If your neighbors don't like them, they don't have to look at them.

Flamingos are so popular around here that local schools are using them to raise money for their sports teams, etc. The go to a house and put about a hundred of them in someone's front yard, and the only way they can get them removed is if they raise enough money for the organization involved. They are usually accompanied by a sign that exclaims, "Oh no another flocking". ...LOL. I think it's hysterical.

My yard, My rules! Flamingo's are definitely in! In the summer they parade around my Elephant Ear and Banana Trees and in the winter 8 pink flamingo's pull the "Jolly Ol' Fat Man's" sleigh. Who needs reindeer when you've got flamingo's!

Depends where you live.

In PA, where some family lives, those concrete geese that you dress up are in.
In SC, where other family lives, cows are in.

My neighbors across the street have 50 or so pinks in their yard from time to time because of Bdays or anniversaries. Nice to look at for a few days but after that they're an eye sore.

I have pink flamingos that I staged in my water pond that I built myself and I get compliments from all my neighbors. Try doing something with the flamingos to make them unique and different.

I think pink flamingo yard ornaments should have all been thrown OUT- long ago... They are an insult to exterior design (not to mention- the real thing!!!). :)

If you like them who cares if they are in??? Ive seen some really off the wall yard decor lately, I think it is almost like anything goes these days. Its not about being IN as much as it is about being creative and having the design cohesive looking (Like using pink flower with the flamingos, and making them stand in a faux pond!

If that's what YOU like, then that's what you like sweetie, it doesn't matter one iota if it's "in" or not. Be true to what's you and fudge what others think. I'm a non-conformist currently living in a South Western town who's homes and businesses are either beige stucco or beige painted wood. MY house is sunshine yellow trimmed in hunter green with a goldfish pond, brightly painted, 5 foot tall lighted Castle fountain and picket fence in the front yard, and roses everywhere.

Lol had to tell you a story with the pink flamingos. My mother hates them and I always thought they were kinda of cute when done with taste, but I told her that one morning she was going to wake up and find a hundred of them in her yard. One of these days I will, just to see her get up the next moring laughing her butt off.It would be worth it.But like I said I think they are cute.
