Unkeepable promises, bribes, tax cuts, baby kisses, public "debates," ***-kissing, and other down and dirty tactics are the only way to ensure loyalty from voters if you do not deserve to be class president. If you do, then remember: the world is a popularity contest. If you can't get people to like you, until you can prove yourself (and get people to like you, or at least accept you because they need you and yoru expertise), good luck getting the votes(!)

You did not state the level of the presidential race. High school, I presume? Do what all successful politicians do. Here's a three-point plan: 1) Talk to as many students as you can and find out what they would want a president to do, then promise them you'll do everything in your power if elected to do that thing, even if the thing is silly. Don’t worry, if you ARE elected, you won't have to do anything you don't want to do. The goal is to be elected, right? 2) Dig in to the backgrounds of those you are running against and have a trusted assistant announce to as many students as possible any dirt you uncover. Do not do this yourself. You must always act as if you are taking the high ground. It makes you look good. However, if asked, just say the act (that your opponent is guilty of) was deplorable, reprehensible and unbecoming a person in high office. 3) Use catchy phrases like, "It's time for a change", "no more business as usual", and "I'm the people's candidate". Avoid specific issues unless someone else brings them up. If they do, promise action.

LoL, use negative campaign. It would be fun to charge the opponents with terrorism, or being satanic, illegal immigrants or sexually deviant. Just make up any weird stories, it would consume their energy to deny it.

Just kidding. Don't do these things.

Campaign aggressively,
Personally talk with as many voters as you can,
Contact the leaders of school organizations to help you, and
Be sincere in your promises for the school and students.
