I appreciate an apology when somebody owes me one, but I also know people who call me on the phone and apopogize for disturbing me before they even tell me who they are. That kind of thing drives me nuts.

Only if they owe me one. I hate when people just apologize to me for nothing because they need some kind of reassurance that they have not done anything wrong.

You're saying that like it's a bad thing. Why would you not appreciate it, at least, if you don't like it? I thought that an apology meant that a person sees an error he or she has made and wants to make amends.

Yes..If they did something wrong..but not for the same reason. Hate it! You know sometimes people just say sorry but they don't mean. Just for the sake of it!

if it's not for a purpose,i rather the person to keep mum.
if not, the magical "sorry" word would be used fer granted.
