I met a friend last month but my other friends don't like her so they keep on telling me not to make friends with her but I don't know why they don't like her. but she has a good attitude. I treat her and my friends equally.

o....well this happens a LOT........ur friends are probably kinda scared that u will start spending more time with ur new friend instead of them......its good that u still treat ur new friend nicely.....its great to make new friends.......just try to make sure that ur not forgetting ur old friends....maybe you can all do something together......with your new AND old friends...all together

Maybe they see something in her you dont. Or maybe they are just jealous. Try to get a neutral perspective, like an adult's, on this friend. But in the end, you have to decide if you want to be her friend. And if it's worth the effort.

I think your new friend (whoever she is) understands how your old friend feels and does not want to make your old friend jeaulous or sad. I think that your new friend will just care at a distance because she also has a old friend who feels like yours and is afraid that she may get to close bc she is genuinely caring and someone else may suffer tremendously and die of a broken heart if your new friend has more friends then again, it seems like you have plenty of friends to go around and your new friend sees that she prob. was not that important and has accepted that.

it could be jealousy...or maybe your other friends just get bad vibes when she is around...you can't make them accept her if thats not what they want to do...so if i were you i would just make time for my other friends and her but at different times cause if they can't respect one another then they at least need to respect you...you could try talking to them about it but if that doesnt work...then you should just deal with them on seperate occasions *good luck*
