The problem with answering this question, is that Friday the 13th superstitions, are unable to be documented prior to the end of the 19th century. If people who lived before the late 1800s perceived Friday the 13th as a day of special misfortune, no evidence has been found to prove it. As a result, some scholars are now convinced the stigma is a thoroughly modern phenomenon exacerbated by 20th-century media hype.

Going back a hundred years, Friday the 13th doesn't even merit a mention in E. Cobham Brewer's voluminous 1898 edition of the Dictionary of Phrase and Fable (one of the main sources for forensic mythologists), though one does find entries for "Friday, an Unlucky Day" and "Thirteen Unlucky." When the date of ill fate finally does make an appearance in later editions of the text, it is without extravagant claims as to the superstition's historic nature or longevity. The very brevity of the entry is enlightening: "A particularly unlucky Friday. See Thirteen" — implying that the extra stain of misfortune attributed to Friday the 13th can be accounted for in terms of an accrual, so to speak, of bad omens:

Unlucky Friday + Unlucky 13 = Unluckier Friday.

There are numerous other potential explanations for our widespread cultural fears though, from ancient Egypt, the Hindu culture, and a general religious issue with 13 being related to the eternal feminine, but when it comes down to it... there really is nothing to it.

A Friday occurring on the 13th day of any month is considered to be a day of bad luck in English and Portuguese-speaking cultures around the globe. Similar superstitions exist in some other traditions. In Greece and Spain, for example, Tuesday the 13th takes the same role. The fear of Friday the 13th is called paraskavedekatriaphobia, a specialized form of triskaidekaphobia, a phobia (fear) of the number thirteen.
There have been a number of events known as "Black Fridays" in history. Usually, these events are devastating. Some historians propose that the origin of the "Black Friday" was the simultaneous arrest of hundreds of Knights Templars on October 13, 1307 (Friday), to be later tortured into admitting heresy.

Any how, it is only a number like any numbers, “bad luck” numbers could effect only on who believe in such things.

The supersition arises from the belief that the Jesus had 13 apostles, and that since one betrayed him 13 is bad luck.

but as history shows the whole betrayal story may even be wrong so where does that leave the number 13?

right between 12 and 14. You make your own luck.

It`s just superstition. Here`s some good advice: don`t listen to superstitions. There`s no luck or bad luck. Just listen to what God tells you to do and you`ll be alright. I`m a Christian, so, yeah. So don`t get scared about Friday the 13ths.
