I was told to change the sensor under the distributer and that might be the problem, so i did that but thats not it either. Anybody have any ideas?? I need a honda techs opinion on the problem, so i can get my car on the road. Please help.

that is pretty good stuff you are doing but changing engine is not an easy job,
no it depends what kind of an engine is it
carburettor or Multi point fuel injection system (MPFI)
i think it must be the Multi point fuel injection system as all the cars have started using MPFI for quite some time now
1. have you even changed the Engine control Module,
2. have you checked the earthing points properly ( that is what the problem i had when i was working on an engine swap of Mitsubishi lancer and modification of Honda City
3. are the voltage level proper on all connectors to the specification

as there are lot many factors
so it would be best if you give me more feed back to get your problem sorted out it is difficult from just words until unless seeing a car but let try it as you have posted a question on the web
try these simple thing if still not works give me your details till now what exactly you have done

Sounds like you almost have it. My only sugestion is find a Japain car expert of another Honda Fanatic to come over to look at your installation and give it a good look over. Engine controls are Integra and wiring harnesses are integra? Some times something as simple as an oil presure switch can signal the fuel system to turn off.

i'm kinda of have the comparable question. I genuinely have a 1996 Honda Civic EX Serial huge type 6th digit is an "8". It has an computerized transmission in it. The engine is locked up because of fact the previous proprietor had a foul valve cover gasket leak. i bought the automobile to get it going for a pal in want. i do no longer ought to make it a severe preformance motor vehicle... I in simple terms ought to make it reliable transportation. i've got on no account owned a Honda so i don't have a clue approximately all of the engine area numbers (B18B, ecu OBD2 to OBD, B18B1, D16Y8, B18C1, F22B1, and so on...). What i understand.... my motor vehicle has the VTEC head on it because of fact it has the solenoid on it. I genuinely have discovered that VTEC engines are no longer basically stacked up in junkyards and that they are no longer low fee. the way I see it, those are my innovations: -Pull the VTEC and deploy a low mileage BASE engine (lower back... i do no longer care approximately better skill) -purchase a used VTEC from a junkyard (nearby or ebay) -Rebuild the engine it quite is at the instant interior the motor vehicle Please provide me your opinion!!!!

The one thing i can advise you is that the harnesses dont match up properly. Another thing check if your alternator is working properly and battery as well. If your alternator is bad it will try to run directly off the battery, which is bad. Another thing that might be the case is that the rpms are too low. when it turns on its around 1,250 to 1,500 rpms, then cruises to about 750rpms. If it drops lower than this the car will turn off. Dont know if this helps but its some possibilities.
