Yes they can. once they have done their time they can pretty much do anything they want. My sister-in-law has her own daycare and just a month ago a registered sex offender moved in to her neighborhood he can see the kids in her yard from where he lives. We have one in our town that is living not even a block from a school. As long as they are not violating their parole and are not harassing kids and have registered they can pretty much do EVERYTHING THAT WE DO!!! At least in the state of Kansas. It doesnt seem right does it!!??

Sex offender registration laws vary from State to State. In addition, a sex offender who is on probation or parole may have additional restrictions placed on them during that time period. If you want to know about the law you can call your local police department or district attorneys office. Some of them even have websites with this information posted. If you want to know about a specific offender who is on probation or parole, call the probation/parole officer to ask questions and express your concerns.
