Frequent masturbation and ejaculation (usually more than 4 times in one week for most) stimulate acetylcholine/parasympathetic nervous functions excessively, resulting in the over production of sex hormones and neurotransmitters such as acetylcholine, dopamine and serotonin. Abundant and unusually amount of these hormones and neurotransmitters can cause the brain and adrenal glands to perform excessive dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversion and turn the brain and body functions to be extremely sympathetic. In other words, there is a big change of body chemistry when one excessively pratices masturbation.

Note: Masturbation is a healthy sexual behavior. Like other behaviors, when over practiced or addicted it can lead to both psychological and physiological imbalances.

The side effects of such changes to the body include:
Fatigue. Feeling tired all the time
Lower back pain
Stress / Anxiety
Thinning hair / Hair Loss
Soft / Weak Erection
Premature Ejaculation
Eye floaters or fuzzy vision
Groin / Testicular Pain
Pain or cramp in the pelvic cavity or/and tail bone

If above symptoms are experienced, you need to restore the balance of brain's acetylcholine / parasympathetic ratio, reduces the level of sex hormones in the body, and sedates sympathetic nervous function, or the symptoms would become worse.

Although it is frowned upon by society and leading ladies of the community, masturbation is a natural and healthy habit for both men and women. It relieves unhealthy pent up sexual frustration and in many instances results in a Nirvana of relaxation for the participant. Masturbation is a normal and natural activity and the myths about it having negative effects are generally no more than "old wives tales" to prevent young people from participating in this "crude" act.

I just know one, if you masturbate instead of having sex:
When you masturbate yourself you only think in having your orgasm, so when you do it too much you might create or increase that problem known as Premature ejaculation.
This respond to the same logic that when you start your sexual life (not with your hand but with a woman), you get to last more every time, (of course that is not always like that, may also depends on other factors like the woman, the alcohol, how tired you are, etc...) But if you can hold like two hours straight with a woman and you don't have the minimal problem with holding your ejaculation when you are the hanky panky, so, go and celebrate with your hand!

Embarrassment if you get caught. Destroy any tapes you make of yourself, otherwise someone eventually will see them. Don't do it over a web cam. Always lock the door.
If you do it too often, and you like to get off as fast as you can, you are training your body to respond in that way--which can help lead to premature ejaculation when you are actually having sex with a partner. So don't do it daily, or force an ejak just to enjoy the high--take it slow and easy and enjoy it by yourself, so you will enjoy it with others when you have the opportunity.

Don't believe the bunk about neuro transmitters etc above. Problems unless its taking over your life, are limited to any embarrasment/shame you feel for whatever reason. The benefits are a healthier prostate, lower stress, better sleep and nice feelings!

you get a stronger hand and arm and you develop muscles without pulling weights. no.2, your prick will start hanging loose with so much of skin rubbed and pulled and stretched that when it sleeps it looks a disgusting lump. this is enough for the time being.

Cleaning up
Getting caught (if it happens)
If you continue until orgasm then there is a temporary loss of ability to obtain another erection

I don't think there are any health ramifications, unless you totally over-do it.
