I will answer later.

I am back.

Earth is approximately shaped like an Orange(round).

From space craft it looks like a ball.

The radius of the earth is large enough that if you are in a (foot ball field)meadow it looks flat.

But all this changes when you are at an ocean front or you look at the sea standing on the shore, you are actually able to notice the curvature of the earth, and that is why it looks round. At the sea shore for a standard human the horizon is approximately 80 miles away. That is a lot of distant so you are able to notice the curvature.

I do not know how old you are, but it is a very good observation for a young person to identify.

My complements.

Some additional fun info.

By using 3 boats at equal distance, significantly apart(say ten miles), one can actually calculate the radius of the earth. It should be fun for you to do a search and see how it is done. You must understand the circular geometry.

Even if you do not understand the geometry part of it, still it will be fun to read about the method.

Ask your science teacher, the teacher may have a book that has this info. Natural geography teacher should have a book that has this info.
