Hold down the ALT key and then on your num pad push different #s and you will get diff. symbols

There are tons of them, and they change with the font you are using. In Word, you can go to Insert: Symbol and browse the ones available.

Oh yea. many of them have Alt codes, too. you can go to Insert>Symbols in Microsoft Word to see them all.
