Before I answer, I don't want you to think that all blacks believe that wearing their pants around their knees is cool; they don't.
The sad fact is that this trend became popular as blacks started to mimic the prison culture. Yes, this fashion trend was taken from criminals and thugs-definitely not a group that I want to look up to. However, many blacks, for some strange reason, wanted to glorify life of a prisoner. When a man goes to prison, he must give up his belt. This causes his pants to droop. Now, a decade later, many are wearing their pants around their knees, most without even knowing where it came from.

I really don't know but it offense me to have to see there under wear in public especially my little girl.I also am a minority if you can call us that know a days ( Hispanic,Chicano,Latino,) & streight out of the Barrio so you brothers don't be offended & I have many Black proffessional freinds at work .If Black peaple were to pick up there pants they would probaly not be shot so much and the Police might not catch as many because they could run with out tring to run and pickup your pants and run at the same time. Just a thought..Peace..

White people ALWAYS have a negative comment about how "blacks" do things, but seem to follow the trend sooner or later. I guess our culture is far more interesting!

I don't know. This started being cool in the mid 80's and NEVER WENT OUT OF STYLE. It is tacky and you need to quit living in the past.

In penal complex the extra youthful "hen" do it. those are youthful inmates that are being set up for use as penal complex 'lady friends'. regrettably the extra youthful adult men on the line do not look to renowned this "penal complex punk sign" and ex-cons snicker their butts off at it.

because its a style..and they want to keep the trend going..that someone started..the baggy pants..and they are so baggythey fall down and they know their underwear is showing but they want it to be like that..
yep..I'd like to know..who started it..as well.

I see just as many white kids do it. I think it's just a trend and they think it's cool. I think it's looks silly.

my mom says the same thing she even says why do they even wear pans they should stayy in their boxers its just a waste

Its better than white people who do not wear pants at all and wear just underwears ; and in case of girls, just bra and panties.
