I have flashes of rage out of the blue, I feel my face get hot, I get shaky, & I feel like I'm going over the top. I really try to stay calm & let it pass, because I feel like a wild beast is about to be unleashed.
Example: I was trying to get the top of the mayo jar tonight & instead of acting with my usual rationale...I decided to hell with it & threw it in the sink to break. This is OUT OF CHARACHTER for me. UGH!!!
I feel like running a marathon in icy rain...is this what I should expect? I've warned the family...lol.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. You might want to ask the doc. about a nerve pill to help you through it. If you like tea, you might try some camomile, or nighty nite tea or something along those lines.
Also they make a supplement that you can buy over the counter at a pharmacy for hot flashes.

I work with a menopausal lady and I can tell you that you are right on track lady...Good luck, I'm gonna be there someday and I hope they have drugs I can take without a laundry list of side effects, Maybe they do now I don't know . Why dont you contact your DR. and find out what they can do to at least ease the symptoms?

You just about described it. You did well in warning the family......tell them to head for high grounds........... There are ways to lessen the flashes, meditating is all bull, but i have found that giving mom some mood pills from the local health food store works better then chemical pills. fans and ice teas with the mood pills working will help big time.

Yep, that is what hot flashes will make you feel like doing, running naked in icy rain. Hang in there, it will pass. Tell your Gyn about your moods, he can give you something to ease your tentions.

Tell your family, to dress warm because you won't be needing much heat in the house this winter.
