I have read polls that suggest as many as 1/3 of the people in the arabic world believe that the 9/11 attacks were actually performed by the US government as a way to justify military action in the Middle East. I'm just curious why some people feel this way and why they believe this. Are there any US citizens that believe it was a conspiracy?

Of course there are! There ar US citizens who believe that the earth is flat! Citizens who believe that Bush is actually doing a "good job"! People who believe that the world's history only goes back 3000 years! You name it, and theres an American who believes it.

okay .......this is what I did.
1)ignore the videos.They are too confusing.But I am sure you have seen them alraedy anyway
2)buy a copy of the 9/11 commission report
3)buy a copy og "the new pearl harbour" by Griffin
4) read both books.If you can read both books at the same time so much the better
There are many U.S citizens who believe that the govt was implicit in the whole thing.I read both books and formed my own informed conclusion.
The concept of misinformationby govt is not new.Govts sacrificing their own is not new either.People have a hard time accepting that this could happen in their own lifetime.
It may interest you that you can never disprove a lie ,if the liar insists that it is the truth.All you can do is prove it beyond a reasonable doubt

Yes there is a great amount of people not only in US but also in the whole wide world who belived that 9/11 is a hocks made up by US officals.Man this answer might hurt u but its true,if u r a historian u will see that Binladin & g.Bush had great relationships in the begning,but afterwards,and u will also find that no proff of Al-Qaida was given to public as if they had plained these attacks.And technicaly it is proven that no plane crashed in Pantagon,and the planes that hit Towers could not have brought that massive structre down,.........it was like taking a tree down by bumping ur head.................i hope ur not angrey for what i just said..................

Many, if not most! I don't know about conspiracy's. I do know that America is being lied to by George Bush about 9/11! They won't release the tapes and they stamped all the paperwork Top Secret calling them a National Security issue! To whom?

plenty of americans are beginning to believe this, there is plenty of info floating around the web right now. Also the comission report was so flimsy a lot more people are looking into the possibility.
