Why you can't go faster than the speed of light
If you were on a train going 2km/hour less than the speed of light... and you took a step forward... wouldn't you go faster than the speed of light; which is believed to be impossible?
Well... The faster you go the more your mass increases... the formula for this is
Mass= Rest mass / square root of 1- (v/c)^2
V being velocity, distance/time
C being the speed of light in a vaccum
If you make a chart following this formula showing a various amount of speeds; these are the results:
The speed of light is about 30,000 km/s
once you go 297,000 km/s; your mass increases by 10 times
once you go 299,970 km/s; your mass increases by 100 times
once you go 299,999.7km/s; you mass increases by 1000 times
once you go 299999.9 km/s; you mass increases by 5477 times
The closer you get to the speed of light... the more your mass increases.
And once you go THE speed of light, your mass will increase to infinite times your normal resting mass.
And once you have and infinite amount of mass, it takes an infinite amount of energy to move you; making it only possible to go faster than the speed of light or the speed of light if you have no mass: eg. Light.

Yeah it does suck...im in the Air Force! Im in UAE right now and i work days so when i want to talk to my family i have to wake up very early so i can catch them before they go to sleep. It suck but its worth it when i finally get to talk to them! Family is the only thing that keeps us going here! So when i get to talk to my nephew (he's only 3) im estatic!
