you can purchase a watch winder. you put your automatic watch in it and it will keep the watch moving. i have one for two automatic watches.

Some watches work off body heat. It might recarge itself like that. Kind of like a solar battery only using you as the energy.

Chances are it is maybe a kinetic powered watch...as you move your arms the battery charges itself, hence when your still the batteries do not charge...but generally the battery should have plenty of juice to keep charged...you might want to exchange it
