In the clouds water vapor deposes to ice crystals.
Cant think of much else, you may want to try looking it up in wikipedia.

Matter has three states: Solids, Liquids and Gasses.
Gaseous Nitrogen when chilled to just under -450 Degrees F> becomes Liquid Nitrogen, Same with Oxygen except it becomes Liquid at around -336 Degrees F. Iron is a good example of a solid that when heated to 2000 plus degrees becomes liquid, when heated further it becomes Gas.

The gas laws follow this formula:

Pressure X Volume/Temperature =
Pressure X Volume/Temperature

Or just by the letters: PV/T = PV/T

We don't normally look at it that way, but Iron in the solid state is "Frozen". it is all in the Temperature

Common method of applying films in the semiconductor industry, e.g., silane (gas) to poly silicon (solid) or TEOS (gas) to glass-like dielectric. This is done in highly controlled conditions in deposition chambers or furnaces. It is done in such a manner that the solid layer is "grown" onto the surface of the wafer, and not precipitated as particulates which would become a contaminant and counterproductive.
