nope because ad hoc lets you play people up to 2 blocks away without an internet connection

but if you wanna play worldwide you will have to get the internet connection

If you playing Ad Hoc on your PSP is only possible to play in your atleast 30 of each other no more then that. To play with other people you need to use infrastructure.
