I would imagine that this is going to be big news, even though British PM Tony Blair doesn't like what this military chief is saying. After all, Blair is a lame duck, and Bush will be one too after the midterm elections.

The following is a web link to the story from CBS News.

No, Bush and Cheney plan to keep US troops in Iraq until they leave office in January, 2009.

They aren't listening to other arguments. Tours are being extended. Listen to this -- former Army soldier can earn $1,000 if they refer a teenager to Army recruiting and that person signs up. How's that for a desperate trick?

They wouldn't be offering that bribe if we were leaving Iraq soon.

He basically called Blair an idiot and wants all the British out now, while our Generals are saying 2010! They just got another killed and I guess almost everyone can see that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 or terrorist! I could have found better places to spend that 3/4 TRILLION that we have spent which Bush likes to keep out of the deficit!

Poor George, the bad news keeps coming. What is Blair going to say? Bush's line is that he is just doing what the military recommends. Blair can't use that line now.

i'm a hundred% in want of having out as quickly as achieveable yet we can't in simple terms pull out. the midsection East is in simple terms too important to considerable economies worldwide huge. If Bush's mess spreads previous Iraq (which it o.k. might whether we live or pass away), we ought to stand a considerable worldwide recession or melancholy.
