To all who says it isn't a performance car, listen up! I have a cold air intake(AEM) a performance chip, and a turbonetics twin turbo. My Scion now pushes out 278hp and 301 lbs of toque. And since it such a small light weight car, I haven;t met a mustang, camaro, lancer, Subaru, or z car i haven't been able to blow away!

yes the do work but you won't get the gain that you think you should have.the tc makes 168 hp in stock trim the intake will set you back about $250 and you will gain only about 2-5 hp max. a full exhaust from the motor back will set you back about $700+ and still only net you 5-15 hp.
if it were me would "build" a new motor with high performance pistons rods cam/s bigger injectors free flowing head a new computer/ chip and exhaust it would cost alot but i would know what i have and could do what i wanted to do as i can afford to do it

The tc is not a performance car. It uses a Camry 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine. Leave it alone and it will last forever.

You bought the wrong car if you want performance get a car like mine 6 speed 2006 GTO 6.0 liter 400 hp. All you will get is more noise if you put on a free flow intake system, or Cat back exhaust. Just noise not more displacement or cyls.
