i have a 66 caprice that has minor rust and i want to do the right way because it is a classic. any suggestions on doing so.

Use as little bondo as possible.. After time bondo cracks from heat and cold and you can also see ripples in it... The best way is to cut a piece of sheet metal, weld it int place, grind the edges, then sand it. You will never be able to tell. If you dont hat the experiance in body work i would recommend a body shop and be specific about no bondo.....

First, you've got to remove ALL rust, otherwise it just spreads again like cancer in a person. Use some rust killer products, or cut out the rusted metal and replace. Do a google search on some stuff called POR15. I have use it with good results.

Learn how to weld, then cut out the rust and weld in some new metal :)
