Is there a politician out there that has really stood up for your core beliefs?

Someone who really made you proud and helped to regain some of your faith in the political process?

When Al gore accepted the decision of Supreme court and gave the presidency to GW BUSH so that the show must go on.

Unfortunately all noble acts by politicians happened after they were ex-politicians. I.E. Gore's work for reversing or at least halting global warming and Carter's Habitat for Humanity.

Jimmy Carter and habitat for humanity project he's affiliated with.

I guess there are a few more but he comes to mind right away.

At this point sad to say I don't have much faith in the political process at all.

Russ Feingold alone voting against the unpatriotic PARTIOT act. That act was the greatest hing I have seen a man do in the hall of congress in a long time. That bill is frightening in its abusive potential against Americans and it is not the last to come. Our republic is crumbling....

I was really impressed by the way Denny Hastert jumped right up there and took responsibilty for ignoring a pedophile just because he was a Conservative Repubican. You did want sarcasm didn't you?

President carter Appointig Vocker and strongly tightening money supply close to his re-election. The way he handeled hostige problem, and all he has done since leaving office.

i voted for Barry Goldwater in 1964.

He was the last truly honest politician i knew (or know).

Al Gore is surprising the hell out me. I am very impressed of how he has "grown up". I am not sure how it will turn out but I am watching him progress. I don't normally care about politcs but if he has me interested so far then I am impressed.
