I am trying to think of something new to do this year and I need some ideas. I lean toward the druid/green wicca side of the spectrum. Most unique idea wins the points.

My family is mostly christian so All Hallows Eve is our comprimise so that I can spend time with them.

Like I said. I know All Hallows Eve is christian. I am trying to think of things that are a kind of comprimise so that I can do them with my family who is christian. A kind of merging of holidays.

On Samhain, I'll be making moon cakes and herbed wine,, listening to celtic music and celebrating with my other-half. I'll be burning a candle in memory of those who have passed in the last year(and earlier) and, making an offering to the departed(that is usually left outside and the local wildlife eat it so I make something that is reasonably "good" for both man and animal like a loaf of bread.)

For Samhain (All Hallows Eve is a Christian holiday), I will spend time with my husband and probably cast a small circle to meditate and pray.

Pagans do not celebrate All Hallows' Eve, silly.

Samhain, perhaps, or the autumnal equinox (now past).
But All Hallows' (hallowed-be-thy-name)/Saints' Eve is Catholic-based, or at least assimilated..

Day(s) of the Dead, now, as celebrated in Latin American countries, coincidentally (yeah right), falls on November 1-2, and is thought to be Mayan in origin.

How about a small bonfire and a simple ritual followed by a feast?

I have to work that night. Otherwise, I'd probably just do a brief circle.
