little girl's sundress, could be made all by hand with no machinery. Using a 48 chain to start and an F hook. I believe the pattern of the top portion of the dress was scalloped like shells.

Go to the HGTV website...www.hgtv.com and click on the on TV tab then click on shows A-Z. Click on the Carol Duvall show and then click on episode 1620. This show aired on 10/12/06 and the title was Fabric and crochet dress. It is the exact pattern you are describing.

Oooh, this is quite a tall order for a forum like this one...but if you're looking for free patterns there are many on the internet if you do a Yahoo! search mabye for something like "girls' crocheted sundress"...you could also stop at your local Jo-Ann's or other yarn carrying craft store and they usually have lots of free leaflet patterns to choose from. Maybe you'll find what your looking for there? Don't forget to try out some of the yarn brand web sites like Lion Brand yarn (www.lionbrand.com), as many of them offer free patterns! :) Good luck!
