There's not a way of getting rid of razor burn quickly, it's to do with the preparation you use. Shave in the direction of the grain growth, if you want a very close shave (I am presuming you do) then go with the grain twice. After a week or so of this method your skin will feel less irritated, all you are achieving at the moment is aggravation of the skin as you may well be applying pressure with the blade. Try to allow the blade to work using only the weight of the razor, try holding the razor just with your forefinger and thumb at the base of the razor and rock the blade against your face to find the best angle.
You should try a shave cream called Ultra Shave as this will help with preventing razor burns, and ingrown hair.

Hi, I am a dermatologist by profession and within a careeer of 10 years I have seen lots of acne problems. According to me Red and white pimples are the worst and painful. Acneprone skin is very sensitive, even if you touch it once the redness will increase with itching. According to me there is no magical way to heal your pimples over night as this is the puffed part of your skin due to the bacteria. In simple words try to improve your diet and have lots of water that helps in healingg process. Un-necessary oily food should be avoided to get a healthy spotless skin.

Witch Hazel available at any Pharmacy in the alcohol section. It's a very soothing astringent, low alcohol (13%). Does the trick.

don't use after shave lotions marketed for men. use baby lotions after your shave. i use aveno brand. it works great. the other stuff has so much alcohol and chemicals it's probably worse than using nothing at all.
