I'm not greatly impressed. Saw is ok. Hostel wasn't at all what I thought it would be, but I have thought of so many different story lines and death scenes that will make these Hollywood movies seem like Barney & Friends...make a grown man cry, even. I'm talkin' about totally crossing the line...I would give examples, but 1. I don't want anyone stealing my ideas and 2. I don't think you could handle it.

They are good but they could be better. You must remember though, these films are being made for a wider audience and not the harder core people like you and I. I myself have film ideas (being that I am a filmmaker) and 2 scripts already written, plus 2 notebooks full of horror movie ideas.

A Nightmare on Elm highway. consistent with probability? i think of it became like in 1984 there is various horror video clips in huge properties with human beings having to stand unseen forces... Edit: My 2d wager would be Poltergeist (1982) My third wager may be the Entity (1981)

People have seen it all. They are getting tired of all the violence and bloodshed. When the movie makers get back to basics and re-evaluate their approach, they will make the magic again.

I get your point, a long time ago movies were actually scary, bit now, they are more about torturing people!
