That's because in the first and second book, Harry and Hermione obviously very close with one another, while in Hermione and Ron case, they're just like the Tom and Jerry, always fighting and blaming each other for some stupid things...Hermione backs up Harry everytime he is down hearted and nags Ron when he says something stupid bout every weird thing that happens to Harry...Ron even makes Hermione cries in the first book when he teases on Hermione words..
However when the fourth book been published, Ron starts feeling strangely towards Hermione, he gets jealous when Viktor Krum is interested over Hermione, and at first he tries to ask her to be his partner to the Yule Ball but he is quit shy and agois..and then he's getting mad when he comes to know that the person Hermiones been dated is his favorite Quiditch player; Viktor Krum...and again they starts fighting again...untill Hermione suggests Ron to make a move before any other guys do if they is a yule Ball next time...but still Ron doesn't want to express his real feeling towards Hermione...
but in the fifth book, Hermione starts paying more attention to Ron after he gives a try to Quiditch game..she even kisses him on the cheeck that makes Ron touches the spot and puzzles..
but in the sixth book They're finally comforting each other feeling ...in this book Ron has changed a bit when he acts more genttle to Hermione and they stop put fighting anymore...
and from there, all readers put a conclusion that Hermione and Ron is meant to be together...

I agree, Hermonie & Ron are more suitable for each other. Based on the story, Harry & Hermonie are more like best friends instead of couples.

Well, some people only see the movies. The movies kind of do a thing with Ron and Hermione, but in the last movie especially, the made it seem as if Harry and Hermione are an item? Weird. They are not in love. It is obvious Ron loves Hermione and Hermione loves Ron. There are many things in the book that SHOUTS it. I mean, he gave her perfume! And he is so jealous when Hermione is with boys, Harry doesn't get jealous about her! It is Ron and Hermione forever!

I think it has been pretty obvious for a long time that Hermione and Ron have feelings for each other and that it is just a matter of time before they admit that out loud.
I really don't know why anyone thinks that Harry and Hermione like each other. What kind of evidence has there ever been for that? When Harry and Ron weren't speaking to each other in Goblet of Fire, Harry spent a lot more time with Hermione than usual and he was bored! He respects her intelligence and considerable talent and of course he values her friendship and loyalty, but he hasn't shown any romantic feelings for her at all.
Ron and Hermione, on the other hand, act hurt and jealous when the one shows interest in someone else (Viktor Krum, Lavender Brown, and Cormac McLaggen). That should have been clear at least since Goblet of Fire, but Ron has been defending Hermione since Chamber of Secrets. When Draco called Hermione a "Mudblood" Ron attempted to curse him. Even their constant bickering is a sign of their affection. They are so much like Arthur and Molly Weasley it isn't funny. Hermione scolds Ron like Molly scolds Arthur and Ron backs down, just like his dad.

It's easy to draw that conclusion from the early books/movies. It's what we're led to think from the action. You soon pick up that Ron and Hermione argue so much because they actually like each other alot. Harry and Hermione will always be good friends.

Everyone always wants the lead character to fall in love with his best girl friend. (ie. Dawson's Creek) I like Hermione and Ron better together anyway. It will be interesting to see what J.K. Rowling does with their relationship in the last book.

I think in the early books it was hard to tell who would get together. By book 6 it's obviously that Harry and her were not meant to be together.
