my girl snuck a drink up to their room and spilled on some papers that were on the floor now the paper and the floor are one, can it be cleaned off without taking the paint with it.

Water alone may help. Try putting a soaking wet towel over the paper let it sit for awhile then it should come right up.

Take a very wet with hot water towel and lay it on top of the paper and let it set. That should soften the paper and allow you to clean it and the soft drink. Repeat if necessary.
