Of the Greek and Roman gods and goddesses, I like Athene (Minerva) the best. A good combination of brains and brawn is hard to beat -- literally and figuratively.
But my favorite of all the ancient pantheons is actually the Egyptian god, Anubis. He has an interesting history, his statuary is gorgeous, and I'm fascinated by all canidae.
