What should i get a XBOX 360 or a Wii plus when is the 360 price going to go down?

Why not get both? The Wii is really targetted at a different market than the Xbox 360, and since the price of a 360 and a Wii is right around the price of a single PS3 getting both will give you the best of both worlds. http://www.wii60.com/
The real answer boils down to one thing, and one thing only -- which one will have the games you want to play? Xbox 360 will have GTA4 and Halo 3, but Wii will have Mario and Zelda. Buy the console that has the games you want to play, because there's no reason to drop $400-600 (or even $250) on a console that's just going to gather dust.

In response to the post above, the gamecube and N64 were labeled a kids machines, but actually were home to some really awesome mature games. For instance, eternal darkness, almost all the resident evil games, perfect dark, goleneye, etc. Secondly, I own an XBox 360 and even though I think it is fantastic, I would probably trade it for a Wii in a heartbeat. The 360 is a nicesystem with a lot of great games, graphics, and online play, but it tends to lack the fun factor that I think the Wii will bring. Besides, the Wii has Metroid, Mario, Zelda and Super Smash Bros. What more do need?

I agree with the person above that said you should get both. it will be about the same as one ps3 and you will have way more gaming options. And as of right now unless you live in europe the price will remain the same for now. but if you only want one it depends on what type of games you like..if its easy laid back games then i would go with the wii but for actions games nad the more serious games then i would get a 360. im getting a 360 this week cause i can not live with my halo and gta.

i think the wii will be ok...but it cant beat the xbox 360...why? easily answered...nintendo 64 and nintendo gamecube started out strong...but dont forget that nintendo is a kids machine...which was why i was amazed games like resident evil were only for the gamecube...but now the gamecube has games that no1 has even heard of...now the xbox 360...online play, some great games...none very childish but fun games and of course great graphics...so there ya have it... xbox 360 = fun and enjoyable......nintendo wii = kid games but eh what the hell

I think you should get the wii. First of all, it's cost does NOT kill. It also has remotes with sensers in 'em. It has GREAT games, such as super mario galaxy, and super smash bros. brawl. It has internet connection. It can also play genesis, and NES games!! SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
