sometimes i feel that language is a barrier, a single word can have so many meanings, and a sentence can always be misinterpretated... for example, famous quotes by famous people could mean differet things to different people...

Language is for expression but we tend to intrepret, this is where the folly lies. But there are certain moments in life which requires no language and is understood deeply and that is silence.

The English language is problematic in that it is too new. It is really only about 400 years old. Not enough words. Arabic is a beter language because it is much older and is a direct descendent of Aramaic. They have an overabundance of words and I am told writers are able to express themselves much more fully and precisely in Arabic thatn almost any other language.

I agree that it can be a barrier. It is so often used to hurt. And misinterpretation is the essence of the problems in the world. I can't tell you how many times people think I'm arguing with them when I'm trying to agree with them. I guess we're not all masters at our own language.

Mental telepathy would be so much simpler, LOL!

My son told me he watched a show on public television that involved problem solving. The first group of people were shut up in a room together and discussed, but were unable to come up with a solution to, the problem. The second group was also shut up in a room, but communicated only by sign lanquage. They came up with a solution. It was believed that they were able to solve the problem because sign language uses no frills or ambiguous words and also because when one person is signing, the others are concentrating on what that person is "saying" instead of concentrating on what they themselves will say next.

Language can be depicted as any form of communication through any means. Communication in any form and by any means can also be, misinterpreted, I assume.

;Do you feel that the only way to express your true self is to hide it in some stupid lyric or poem? Are you afraid to let the world know that maybe you have problems? Does the thought of letting anyone in make you freak out? Do you scream in scilence? You are not alone. blah blah blah.....

90 % of communication between humans is via body language, not spoken language. Most of this body language is stuff we are not consciously aware of.
