I am looking for carpet pad to use under a 9x12 area rug - I have 3 boys who like to roughhouse and wrestle...

what is the thickest, most cushioned pad I can buy? The typical stuff at home depot doesn't cut it.

get at least an 8lb weight on the padding, especially if they like to wrestle. this will provide lots of badding and soundproofing.

go to a carpet store and get some scrap. if they dont have any available, then buy some uncut from them. A 9 x 12 MIGHT cost you 10 bucks. I have done this myself. good luck!
