I have a collection of small books about well everything, they are about circa 1913 to the 1930's. I don't know much about them but they are numbered and kind of like the readers digest books of today except the fact that they are about 6 inches high. If anyone has any info let me know.

Either on the title pages of the books or the flip side of the title pages, you should find the publisher and perhaps a series title and date of publication. With this information go to

http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchEntry?errorcode=1

Do an advanced search, using all the information you have. This should give you a list of booksellers who currently are offering the books with their prices (and in some case quite a lot of other information).

Fadedgiant, mentioned above, does the same thing, but my experience is that abebooks has a much larger selection; hence, a greater range of prices and information.

If you do NOT find any of your books there, they may be very rare and, hence, very valuable. You might want to take them to a good, reliable rare book dealer with an estimated price (for insurance purposes, if for no other reason).

I wish you had given us more information. I would have liked chasing this down for you. For instance, do you think you have a complete set, or are some numbers missing from the series?

Good luck!

I have a similar collection, with green covers, that include poetry, philosophy, etc. They are adorable and smell wonderfully old. I keep them displayed in a glass cabinet.
