The safest quickest way to lose five lbs is to stop drinking Soda, and other sugary drinks, and also no more fast food. believe it or not this simple change could help you lose up to 10 lbs . . . dont do anyhing that will cause more harm in the future such as making yourself throw up, and all that other stuff .. . and if you are not doing any exercise a little walking or even situps and pushups will help. Ive found that eatting a small breakfast such as 1 tbl spoon of pb and toast . . with half a glass of Grapefruit juice is a great way to boast your matablolism . . . than make sure you eat like every 5 hours . . . with enough time after the last before you go to bed. . . this really worked for me ive lost 25 lbs . . .in only a month.

1. By losing water from the body. Weight lifters some time do it. Without any medicine , you can sweat out that much water from the body if you had 140 lbs around. From the day before weighing cut down on food and water intake. Work out a bit to warm up and then sit under a blanket so that you sweat heavily. You can lose 5-6 lbs just by heavy sweating ( I have done it when I was 140 lbs )
Mind it , this is TEMPORARY. After weighing you need to drink water AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to replenish the supply you lost. ( very important )
OR
If you want to lose 5-7 lbs and stay that way for some time without excercise , cut down the quantity of food intake. DONT STARVE. Take , say , 60% of what you take of every thing. Try to avoid junk food. Regular meals only and try not to take snacks in between. May be in 2 weeks you will see results. Drink enough water in this case. It will be tough initially if you liked your food initially. But by sacrificing quantity , you will come to appreciate quality. It worked for me.
and remember , losing 5-7 lbs for a 200 lbs person is very easy compared to a 100 lbs person.
I advise the 2nd method . That is healthy. If you want to stay trim and fit you can start regular excercise too after say , 3 months of controlled diet ( of reduced food intake . You get used to it )

Don't know how much you weigh now, but if you can manage to keep your calories at 1200 and do an hour of exercise each day, you should be able to drop the 5lbs in 2 weeks. I have been fighting the same 5lb battle too and this has been working for me. It's difficult, but better to arrest the weight gain before it get unmanageable. Oh and when you are hungry, eat popcorn. Salty and satisfying without many calories, assuming you don't put a bunch of butter on it. :-)

5 POUNDS ?!?!?!

Honestly.... I CRAP 5 pounds. If it wasn't for the 6 burgers a day, I'd be invisible.

But seriously- master cleanse.
Push a lawnmower for 4 acres.
Walk to the mall.
Stack some firewood.
Slim Fast.
Almost every plan works if you ACTUALLY DO IT.

no matter what pills you take or whatever gimmicks there are the only way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you consume! the best way for you to lose a quick five pounds would be "although not neccassarilly healthy"pretzels, celery, water and lots of situps!

The Master Cleanse. I dropped 5lbs in 4 days. It's very difficult to stay committed, and you gain the weight back as soon as you start eating again, but it does work.

5 punds is nothing, you prob wont see the difference. But if you are compting in something like bodybuilding, you have to dehydrate yourself, dont drink any water or salt. However this is very bad for you.
