Best Picture? Best Director? Best Screenplay? Best Actor in a Leading Role and Supporting Role?

Yes. It definitely should! It was one of the best movies I've seen all year. Mark Wahlberg's character was straight gangsta!! Leonardo Di Caprio should be nominated for best actor. He was excellent! The whole cast was just AWESOME!!!!!! I can't say best film-that usually goes to some independent film that didn't recieve a lot of press. I think that movie w/ Forrest Whitaker will take home best film. But the Departed is still one of my top 5 picks.

there's already been buzz that it's a oscar contender before it was released. i think the nominations will be leo for best actor, jack nicholson for supporting role, and a nod for best picture. i loved the movie!
