My sister gets a piece of mail from an insurance company each year that is addressed to someone that must have lived in her house years ago. She has written return to sender on it and she has written that there is no one there by that name, but she still keeps getting the one piece of mail there. This year she finally opened it to try to find out what she could to get it to the rightful owner. It is two life insurance policies that is growing interest. I am trying to help her find this person so we can let them know. Does anyone have any ideas on searching for some one? I already checked white pages and there are 286 people with the same name. We don't know what state this person might live in now.

you could try Zabasearch, it's free or Intellus they charge a small fee, but the info isaccurate & up to date... Do you have a date of birth as well as a name? that would also help.

Well, you could go to your county tax office -- for land taxes & see if they could tell you who was paying taxes at that location 30 years ago. I dont know if they would release that info,, but maybe if you explain the situation they could help point you in a good direction.

Go to city hall and see if there is info there. Research the inhabitants of the people who owned the house previously by title and land court.......

Maybe contact the insurance company and tell them what is going on? They probably have people working for them that will locate people?
