People keep saying it but i wouldnt think it would be at all. How scary can aliens be? Please tell me a movie that will scare the living crap out of me (AND like ten drunk 20 somethings. LOL). The Exorcist & The Ring did very well. Saw & The Hills Have Eyes were'nt scary. They were just Gruesome.

I thought Alien was ok.
Aliens was much better in my opinion.
I was VERY scared the first time I watched it, but I also think I was like 7 or 8.
Not sure if it would work for a party now becaue so many people have seen it.
I watched Hostel when I was visiting my friends this past weekend, and just like Saw it was mostly just gruesome.

I consider Alien to be one of the BEST horror movies ever! Ridley Scott made effective use of an almost documentary-style cinematography, and very stark and unsettling sets, from the Nostromo to the interior of the derelect alien spaceship. And the title creature itself is still one of the mopst innovative designs I've seen for a space creepazoid.
Check it out, alone in a dark room. Keep a blanket handy, you'll need it for the last half hour.
And maybe the first half hour.
Maybe sit on a rubber sheet?

I think it was very scary! Facehuggers and chestbursters...urgh!! I still get creeped out by it and the 1st sequel, Aliens
I don't know if you have ever listened to the Bob and Tom radio show, but once they interviewed Dr Dick Wolf *famous astronaught who flew on a few shuttle missions. He said he had never seen Alien and took a copy of it on one of the missions to watch! He said it was the biggest mistake he had ever done because after that, everytime he heard a noise on the shuttle he was convinced aliens had gotten aboard!!

I thought Alien was scary, but I like the Evil Dead movies.

Yeah, it can get pretty creepy. There is one part that makes me jump every time I watch it. I won't spoil it though, hehe.
I love Alien! Make sure you watch Aliens as well (if you haven't already).

i suggest "Fire In The Sky" or "Prince of Darkness". either one will ruin your sleep for days...
