Why is it that as soon as you mention the word "Nudity" in North America, most people theink you're being dirty? (See My previous questions from today for more information)

I wonder the same thing, and I AM a north American. It seems to me that once you enter the work force, people get professionalism confused with oppression. Or they turn into 3rd graders that gasp and become shocked and embarrassed when someone mentions the word sex. Professionalism doesn't mean we turn into 9 year olds - we are all adults, and can have a matter of factual conversation about puberty, bras, sex, orgasm, etc. I mean shi*, this is 2006, not 1906, we CAN talk about these things. As you can probably tell, this is one of my biggest pet peeves about people at work.
It has been quite a shock for me - having grown up with girls who talked in detail about blowjobs, orgasm, penis size, pubic hair, and everything else - to meet girls my own age who haven't even considered getting vibrators and would look at me weird for having one!

Why are we so uptight dear sir? It's not a matter of being uptight, it's a matter of being modest. Our men have massive c***, and our women have enormous t***. We are a proud people blessed with a plethora of swinging and hanging things that would cause car crashes and seizures if we were to disrobe. THAT is why we freak out over the word nude. Oh, and the fact that our porn industry more than makes up for the rest of the world. Cheerio.

I guarantee that those people who find the word (or concept) of nudity offensive are those people who consider themselves closest to God.
