I'm a 10th grade student living in a small (growing quickly) community. I've kept the same core group of friends since kindergarten. I've also added, and lost, friends here and there. But overall.. I have mostly the same friends I've had since I was that age.

my friend and i have known one another since we were born. Our mothers were neighbors and both pregnant at the same time.
I was born a month before my friend and we went through primary school and high school together.Often we were thought to be sisters as we looked similar and lived in the same street.
I was also her bridesmaid 2 years ago.
It's nice to have someone you have grown up with as you realize how much time changes you both but at the same time keeps some things exactly the same.

Yes. HIs name is Peter and he is still my best friend today. We both turned 58 this year. We met the first day of elementary school and were in the same classes through 6th grade, shared several classes in Junior high, 7th and 8th grade and then share several classes the first year of high school, 9th grade. The summer between 9th and 10th grade, my father was transferred from Illinois to California, but we maintained contact through through frequent letters and audio tapes, which we still do to this day, but now, we often have long talks on the phone in addition tot he letters and tapes. Peter moved to California in 1971 I think, about 50 miles from where my parents lived. At that time, I was in the Navy, stationed about 70 miles from my parents house, so Peter was over to visit often until 1976 when I was transferred to Florida. Peter is an honorary member of he family and gets together aat Chritmas with the rest of my brothers and sisters and exchanges gifts with the rest of us. Last Christmas, Peter gave me a CD with MP3 files made from all of the audio tapes I sent him starting from when I left for California. It was quite interesting to hear myself from those old tapes, and a bit disturbing at the same time.
Does it still count though we did not finish in the same high school?
My mind boggles at the fact we have been best friends for 53+ years and counting...

I have 2 friends whom I have known and loved since we were 2 years old. We are now 57. We won a contest at a high school reunion for knowing each other so long. Upon learning we had known each other SO long, someone yelled out: "Where did you guys meet....in the womb?!"
