you should try using matches or a lighter and watch them pop like popcorn ... it's really funny.

I wondered what the ants where doing in the microwave.
Don't put cake in the microwave, it ruins the taste. Let the ants have it, and get some more for yourself. And in the future, put cake in the fridge where bugs cant reach it.
